We also provide outdoor group obedience training sessions for owners seeking to enhance their dogs general level of compliance. Sessions embrace positive approaches to training whilst taking into consideration selective breed traits and individual motivations. During each stage we focus on everyday skills required for maintaining control and keeping a dog safe and secure when in public environments.
- 6 week course
- 1 hour sessions
- Small groups (maximum 6 dogs)
- Obedience and handling training
Group classes are aimed at dogs that generally demonstrate balanced and appropriate temperaments but have not yet learned to respond to their owners instructions. Dogs that are excessively social, extremely anxious, or demonstrate high levels of reactivity when in the presence of other dogs may not be suited to the group approach. In such cases owners may wish to consider a period of one-to-one training before enrolling in group classes.
Sessions will be delivered in carefully selected categories to support healthy development and for the purpose of allowing dogs to flourish. Numbers will be regulated to six dog teams per class so that a balanced and manageable instructor to student ratio is upheld. It is extremely important that all participants are given an equal level of support and attention.
Courses will run for 6 week periods and the sessions will last for approximately 1 hour. Courses will be run at beginner, improvers, and advanced level. All new clients will be expected to start at the beginner level
